ContactProject Description
Swiss Economics conducted an in-depth analysis of the structure of noise charges during off-peak hours at a major international airport. The objective was to identify and assess the economic incentives these charges create for airlines. The study aimed to understand how the current fee model interacts with airline behavior, particularly in relation to delays and flights during off-peak hours, and to derive insights on potential improvements to the incentive system.
Methods
- Evaluation of the noise charge model
- Analysis of delay codes in relation to fee levels
- Identification and assessment of potential incentive effects
- Synthesis of findings and implications
