Biography
Maida Sabotic studied economics, politics, and history (bachelor's degree) as well as economics and data science (master's degree) at the University of Zurich. During her studies, she completed semester exchanges at Erasmus University Rotterdam and the University of Copenhagen. In her master's program, she specialized in economic policy, development economics, and statistics, and worked as a teaching assistant for macroeconomics and microeconomics at the Department of Economics. After graduating, she gained practical experience in economic development cooperation in the field of trade promotion at the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).
At Swiss Economics, she works as an Economist in the field of economic policy. In this role, she analyzes and evaluates economic policy measures in various policy areas, including energy, housing, and environmental policy, and conducts regulatory impact assessments. In addition, her professional focus is on the housing market and urban economics, with a particular emphasis on data-based analysis.
