Audit Support and Compliance

Audit and compliance play an essential role in ensuring process quality, regulatory conformity and sound governance in organisations. Swiss Economics supports companies, public authorities and supervisory bodies with independent economic expertise – both as a co-sourcing partner to existing audit and compliance functions and in the context of standalone review mandates.

CO-SOURCING

Internal and external audits as well as compliance reviews assess the effectiveness of processes, controls and risk management systems, and formulate recommendations for the relevant governing bodies. For mandates requiring in-depth economic, regulatory or analytical expertise, Swiss Economics acts as an independent co-sourcing partner to internal audit, external audit and compliance functions.

  • Governance, roles and responsibilities. We review governance structures, the clarity of roles and responsibilities, and the adequacy of control and reporting mechanisms.
  • Process efficiency and cost allocation. We analyse the efficiency of your operational processes and assess the soundness of your cost allocation and internal pricing mechanisms.
  • Internal control system (ICS) and risk management. We assess the effectiveness of your internal control system and operational risk management frameworks.
  • AI integration and automation. The growing adoption of AI raises new questions around governance and oversight. We assess whether your AI steering and monitoring structures meet these requirements.

REVIEW MANDATES

Companies, public authorities and supervisory bodies regularly need to have the conformity of processes, tariffs or models independently verified. Swiss Economics takes on such mandates and delivers well-founded assessments as a basis for decision-making.

  • Regulatory conformity and tariff review. We verify compliance with applicable legal and regulatory frameworks, in particular in the area of tariffs and pricing.
  • Cost allocation and transfer pricing. We review cost allocation mechanisms and internal pricing models against relevant legal and regulatory requirements and in terms of their economic incentive effects.
  • Model review. We assess the robustness and consistency of simulation or calculation models.
  • Subsidy review. We assess whether subsidies and support instruments are achieving their objectives, whether funds are being used efficiently, and identify opportunities for savings or improvement.
